Specialist gold

The Beton building, located in Wembley Park. Designed by architects Cartwright Pickard and built by Quintain.

One of the key features of the Beton building is the low-level cladding of a unique Spanish ceramic tile.

This tile and make-up of the cladding made fixing any particular sign into the building uniquely challenging.

Working in collaboration with Atelier Works, we designed a sign that was over 2 metres in height and stood off the building slightly. A couple of strategically positioned supporting brackets were fixed into pre-drilled fixing holes.

The sign was onto a concrete pad, which takes the majority of the weight and the floor paving finish above the pad surrounding the base of the sign, creating a feeling the sign is rising through the floor.

The sign was powder coated to match a specialist gold, glistening in the sunlight creating beautiful shadows through the cut stencil form elements.
